Where Pests Hide on Established Lots
Over the years, landscaping grows in, irrigation systems age, and storage builds up in garages and side yards. All of that creates hiding places. Crickets hide in damp beds, roaches settle into valve boxes and drains, and scorpions tuck into walls and woodpiles.
Cheney Estates pest control means looking at those spots on purpose. Our technicians walk the property, note what has changed, and treat the areas that are most likely to be supporting pests near your home.
Pool equipment pads deserve a mention too. The pump, filter, and surrounding rock stay damp and shaded, which makes them a reliable hiding place for scorpions and black widows alike.

Breaking the Food Chain
A scorpion's menu is mostly crickets, roaches, and similar small insects. When those insects are plentiful, scorpions stick around. By treating the cricket and roach hiding places along with scorpion shelters, we reduce the reasons for scorpions to stay near your home.
Simple changes help too. Warm-colored porch lights attract fewer insects, and door sweeps keep crickets and scorpions from slipping in under exterior doors.
After summer storms, cricket numbers can jump quickly. We adjust treatments during monsoon season to stay ahead of the surge.
We will point out any lighting or door changes that would help most at your home.
