Big Trees, Big Opportunities for Pests
Mature citrus trees are a favorite food source for roof rats. They nest in dense branches, eat the fruit, and travel to rooftops along limbs and power lines. Gaps around tile edges, vents, and soffits let them into attics.
Heavily watered yards keep soil moist, which helps subterranean termites move toward foundations and lets ant colonies grow large. Leaf litter and debris near walls add shelter for cockroaches and scorpions.
Shade from big trees keeps walls and patios cooler, which spiders and scorpions appreciate during the afternoon heat. That shade can also hide wasp nests under eaves and in branches.

The Groves Pest Control Plan
We start with a careful look at your trees, roofline, irrigation, and foundation. For roof rats, we recommend trimming branches back from the roof, sealing entry points, and setting up control measures. For termites, we inspect for mud tubes and damage and explain any treatment needed.
Regular bi-monthly service handles ants, cockroaches, scorpions, and spiders, with a full exterior inspection at each visit.
Wasp nests in eaves and branches are handled during regular visits too.
Keeping the Trees, Losing the Pests
You do not have to give up your citrus to have a pest free home. Picking up fallen fruit, keeping debris cleared from walls, and maintaining a gap between branches and the roof all help. Our technicians are paid by the day, so they have time to look at the whole property.
Bi-monthly service starts starting at $45 a month for homes up to 2,500 square feet, and larger properties pay slightly more. If pests come back between scheduled visits, re-treatment is free.

Learn moreFrequently asked questions
Will roof rats damage my citrus trees?
They eat the fruit and may nest in the branches, but the bigger concern is when they move into your attic. Sealing and trimming help protect your home.
Does heavy watering increase termite risk?
Moist soil can make it easier for termites to reach your foundation. Inspections help catch activity early.
How fast can you come out?
Typically the same day or the next. Just call 480-999-5302 and tell us what you are seeing.
