Most scorpion species can fit through a crack or space that is about 1-16th of an inch in size. They usually like to hide underneath rocks, woodpiles, trash cans, outside carpeted areas, inside irrigation boxes, at the base of bushes and trees, and even inside the cracks pillars on block walls. During the hot summer months they are extremely active and a female scorpion can have as many as 100 babies at once.
